AI2S Privacy Policy
The Artificial Intelligence Student Association (AI2S) places a high priority on protecting your privacy. This privacy policy was created in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to the privacy of our members and website users. This policy explains what types of information is collected by our website and our association, and how this information is used in compliance with the requirements of the D. Lgs. 196/2003 “Codice in materia di protezione dei dati personali” as modified by the D. Lgs. 101/2018.
What data do we collect?
Individuals that sign up to receive AI2S e-communications voluntarily provide us with the following information:
Personal identification information (Name, email adress)
AI2S members that register either online or in person also provide us with additional information in compliance with our Statute:
Country and date of birth
Residence address and phone number
Institutional affiliation and student code
How do we collect your data?
You directly provide AI2S with all the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:
Subscribe to our newsletter, online or as a part of the membership application.
Register as a member of AI2S by submitting a membership application form.
How will we use your data?
AI2S uses your data so that we can:
Provide you with personalized service;
Send e-mail alerts to you, if you subscribed to our newsletter;
Answer your requests;
Process your membership application
Subject to your express agreement as manifested in the membership application form, to share your data with our affiliated institution to provide you with additional information about opportunities.
How do we store your data?
AI2S members information is safely stored in our association physical registers, and only members of the Directive Committee and public officials will have access to those for reasons connected to management and the bureaucracy of the Association.
Basic contact information of members and newsletter subscribers is also stored safely on our e-communication provider platform account, and can only be accessed by members of the Directive Committee. Please refer to our provider’s privacy policy for additional details.
What are your data protection rights?
AI2S would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:
The right to access – You have the right to request AI2S for copies of your personal data. We will provide them for free at any time.
The right to rectification – You have the right to request that we correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request AI2S to complete the information you believe is incomplete.
The right to erasure – You have the right to request that AI2S erase your personal data, under certain conditions, but not contrary to the rules provided int he aforementioned privacy laws.
The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that AI2S restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions, but not contrary to the rules provided int he aforementioned privacy laws.
The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to AI2S’s processing of your personal data, under certain conditions, but not contrary to the rules provided int he aforementioned privacy laws.
The right to data portability – You have the right to request that AI2S transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions, but not contrary to the rules provided int he aforementioned privacy laws.

Your continued use of our website after the date that such notices are posted will be deemed to be your agreement to the changed terms.
